A hope for the gut instinct of a parent on zoom calls,

not leaping to apologize when we can hear a child bawl.

When we go back to the office after the pandemic ends,

will we remember we're human, be vulnerable, forget or pretend?

As we hear promises for the future I hope it’s not a corporate PR game,

let’s do it for awareness, being human and reducing shame.

So in closing let’s give parents their dream,

unbiased support for work-home balance, despite background giggles or screams.
